Arkansas Pig Trail | Scenic Drive to Fayetteville or Eureka Springs, AR
We know of two reasons AR-23 got its name, “Pig Trail.” Either because it was the main route from I-40 to Fayetteville, AR (home of the Razorbacks!) or because the road is twisty like the tail of a pig!
Either way, be sure to enjoy the ride or drive as you climb the Ozark Mountains to Northwest Arkansas.
From Vinyard Vinyasa Retreat, take a LEFT out of the driveway and then a LEFT onto Hwy 64. When you see the Dollar General, turn LEFT onto AR-164 N to I-40 West.
Take Exit 35 toward Huntsville (AR-23 N) and drive 24 miles through the Ozark National Forest. (1-hour total time)
From there, you can continue on AR-23 to Eureka Springs (MUST SEE!) or head to Fayetteville on AR-295. (Additional 1 – 1.5 hours)
